CONNECTING YOUR EMPLOYEES
More and more employers are concerned with how their employees get to work. Commuting costs and access to reliable transportation can affect retention and recruitment. Gasoline costs can eat up a significant chunk of employees’ take-home pay. And reducing driving is good for maintaining air quality and road infrastructure in the Kansas City area.
RideShare works with employers in the Kansas City region to develop commute programs that promote alternatives to driving alone — such as carpooling, riding the bus, bicycling and telecommuting.
Employer module features
- Through the RideShare Connection employer module, your company can manage its own free carpool-matching website with custom content just for your employees. Subscribers can find ridesharing opportunities at your company or within the regional carpool-matching database.
- Our Commute Calendar lets your company and employees track alternative transportation trips and see what a difference they make — and how much money they are saving.
- Our reporting tool helps your company monitor alternative transportation use, miles of driving saved, and reductions in harmful emissions.
- We can enroll your company’s registered carpoolers, vanpoolers, Johnson County Transit riders and bicyclists in our Guaranteed Ride Home service, or provide training for a designated on-site Guaranteed Ride Home coordinator at your company.

To get started, register your company for free with RideShare Connection by contacting us at email@example.com or 816-842-7433. We will designate one or more employer administrators (please note that administrators need to have a RideShare Connection account first). Once the registration is complete, your administrator will have access to all the employer-based outreach and reporting tools.
